Welcome to Grand View Horse Services — Just Miles From the Strip, Yet a World Away!

Grand View Horse Services is a full service equestrian facility that focuses on training, boarding, riding lessons, western performance, and horse leases.

Owner, trainer, and operator Tomi Truax was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the heart of the National Finals Rodeo. At age 12 she began riding seriously, focusing on her horsemanship skills, applying herself at training and teaching lesson students to ride with confidence and commitment.

As she progressed, she focused more on western performance competitions such as barrel racing and pole bending. She has successfully competed in mounted shooting, team penning and sorting, barrel racing, and pole bending. For horse tune-ups, she enjoys gymkhana.

She has worked for several ranches around Las Vegas as an equine handler, camp counselor, wrangler, instructor, and trainer. Her talents have been appreciated by the Excalibur Hotel horse show "The Tournament of Kings," Vegas Valley Equestrian Center, Copper Farms, BCHA, Sunrise Arena, and many more.

She has had training from several of Las Vegas' finest horse trainers including several John Lyons Certified Trainers and western performance trainers. She regularly attends clinics administered by many of the most respected horsemen and women in the business, including John Lyons, Richard Shrake, GaWaNi Pony Boy, Ted Robinson, Craig Schmersal, Charles Wilhelm, Marlene McRae, Lynn McKenzie, Monty Roberts, Clinton Anderson, Craig Cameron, and more. Further seminars attended include those by Julie Goodnight, Larry Belue, Peter Moon, John Donecker (DVM), Gary Veserat, Richard Shrake, Craig Harder, Trudy Shea, Gary Veserat (MS,PAS), Lisa Grim (DVM), David Ramey (DVM), Jochen Schleese, and more.

Horses are her passion, her life, and her love. This is why she has focused her life around these magnificent animals.
